How is Easy Opening Packaging processed with laser technology?
The MLT laser process creates a precise material weakening that facilitates opening of the package. Extremely fine structures in the hundredths-of-a-millimeter range are introduced into the packaging material without contact and with high repeatability.
For multilayer films, only the outer layer is selectively processed. The properties of the remaining layers remain unchanged, ensuring that important barrier functions are fully preserved.
As a result, the packaging can be opened easily by hand while maintaining full product quality.
